Searching The Database
The monitoring systems collects content based on lists of collection criteria and stores each piece of content as a "post" in Junkipedia's database. The collected posts can then be more narrowly searched within the database.
To search posts that have been collected by the monitoring system, see the top row of search options on the monitoring page and the explanation of each option described below.

Search Box
If you enter keywords in the search box, the search with attempt to find posts relevant to all of the keywords.
Boolean Checkbox
This feature allows the following operations to be included in the search string.
+
signifies AND operation|
signifies OR operation(
and)
signify precedence-
signifies NOT operation"
quotes a literal string to signify a phrase for searching

Sort Order
The search results can be ordered starting with newest, oldest, or highest engagement.
Platform
Select any number of social media platforms for posts that you would like to have included in the search results. If you don't specify any platforms, posts from all of them will be considered.
List Selection
Select any number of lists or list groups from this drop down menu to narrow the search to posts collected by certain lists. A list group is a folder containing other lists. You can select individual lists within a group or check the entire group. If no lists are specified, all posts in the database will be searched regardless of lists that caused them to be collected.
Post Type
Use this pull down menu to limit the search results to posts of one of the following types or allow all types.
photo – The primary content of the post is any image or photograph.
video – The primary content of the post is a video.
link – The post focusses on a link to content hosted somewhere else on the web.
status – The post is in the style of a Facebook status update message.
Engagement Range
You can set an upper and lower bounds on the popularity of posts you want to include in the search results. Junkipedia checks checks engagement statistics provided by the platforms.
Age Limit
You can select an age limit for how far how back in time you want to search. Only posts newer than this limit will be included in the search results.
Reset Button
Click the reset button to clear any previously entered search criteria.
Saved Search Button
Click this button to save and reuse these search criteria under a name that you provide. All of your saved searches are listed in the left side panel. If the browser window is narrow, the left panel may appear hidden. You can open the panel by clicking on the 3 parallel lines icon to the right of "Junkipedia" near the top left of the window.
